Thought I would show this dress cause I can't afford it... $2,500!!! SILK! BUT IT WAS AMAZING!

Well... thought I liked one dress (not shown just incase Ryan checks the site out) but when I see the pics of it... it doesn't as look as good as it did when I had it on in the mirror. It was very beachy and light weight! SO I'm confused... and have made an appointment to take a look again next Saturday. I think Jill and I might make a trip to Spring Lake Bridal Saturday to look at veils for her and look at the Alfred Angelo dress that I can't get off my mind. Than too... we can go to my appointment and re-look at the beachy dress. When I find out the designer and style number... I'll let you know!

One good thing... got my grapes for my wine bottle lights! All I need now are my favorite wine bottles empty... sounds like I have some drinking to do! Also, we found an easel that would work amazingly for a sign at the ceremony and reception. It would help people know they are at the right spot at the ceremony and for the reception it would hold the sign to welcome guests to "Leelanau County"!

Bridal Elegance Bridal Shop

Mom, Jill, and I have made an appointment for tomorrow at Bridal Elegance! It's at 10:30 a.m.... if any one is interested. Afterwards, we are working on Jill wedding stuff... so it will be a full day of wedding planning (which needs to get done).

Bridal Elegance is one of the shops in town that has some more expensive designers, such as Watters and Wtoo. This designer seems to make dresses that are more my style... flowing, not a lot of beading, but extremely beautiful... one thing is they run from $1000 on up. Also, they have a Destination line from Dessy there that I'm looking forward to seeing.

I haven't worried about the budget to this point... and am going to try to not about the dress. A dress I love is extremely important. To this point, I have a picture in my head of everything but the dress... lets hope tomorrow I have some better luck!

Truly, I'm still stuck on the one-shoulder number from Alfred Angelo. Its red carpet beautiful and one of a kind when it comes to wedding dresses I've seen. The only thing about it that makes it look like a wedding dress is that its white! But... it seems a little more formal for a beach wedding... but besides that its all ME! They finally have it on there website... the style number is 2063!

Also, I really love style number 7061 as a possible rehersal dress! BUT... mom also loved this dress for her mother of the bride! One way or another... I hope one of us gets this dress from Alfred Angelo.

Wish us luck tomorrow... we need to get the ball rolling on planning... only 9 months to go!

Merry Christmas

Wow... how time flies! Want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'm very lucky to have all of you in my life... and this year I feel extra blessed to have a roof of my own over our heads and a wonderful fiance to share Christmas with! Looking forward to 2010... this will be a year for the record books! Thanks again for a wonderful year!


P.S. I'm going to see if maybe I can go do some wedding stuff Saturday, January 2nd... if your interested... probably some dress shopping... let me know! :)

Our Lucky Day!

Turns out I was able to get the mason jars mom found on Craigs List! We at the moment have 24 blue antique Ball quart mason jars with the authentic metal lids! Only cost a buck a piece! How I'd like to decorate the tables... we will need a few of these per table... and more than likely we will have more than 12 tables. So please do keep your eyes open for more jars... I know one person that has 2 more... but even if we could find the smaller size that would be great too. If you reference the posting with the tables from long ago... you will get my vision!

Seems like everything just keeps falling in to place... I don't know what my next step is but hopefully it will go as smoothly as so far!

We have a ceremony location, a reception location, theme, decor, and photographer... with some good ideas of colors and bridesmaid dresses! Still searching for "The One"... dress that is... but I'll find it sooner or later!

Blue Mason Jars

If everyone could... keep your eyes out for antique blue mason jars for the wedding! The picture of the table I shown earlier in a post... shows 3 jars per table! Since they are antique and a lot of people love using them for weddings, they are hard to come by!

Mom had found 2 but they are very antique, even different style than to what the pictures above show!

They are soo cool and are the right blue for what we are going for. If we don't find enough, we can mix in some clear mason jars, which may look good if we put petoskey stones in the water of the flower mason jars!
