If life wasn't crazy enough with working on our home, Ryan and I getting used to living together after having opposite schedules, trying to figure out my place in the photography world, enjoying our adorable lil' nephews Evan, Forrest, and Levi plus Vivian, our adorable niece... Ryan and I also have a puppy or at least is the size of one, Jack, who is a Jack Russell mix! How fun and YES, and a little crazy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Didn’t want anything to do with the country…

After growing up in a 100+ farm house, I thought that when I grew up that my house would be modern and nothing to do with the country!

WRONG!

Currently, I am stuck on the reclaimed restored look! My real interest started when I came up with the idea of blue Ball mason jars for the wedding! I feel deeply over heels in love with them and won’t let them out of my sit… sorry girls, those won’t be lent out for any weddings. From there, I found an interest in burlap which we used for table clothes at the wedding which at the time reminded us of sand, not country! For my birthday, my dad said he could make me a barn wood mirror, which has not been made by the way. That grew in to wanting a barn wood head board! At this point we have the wood and it’s at our house, it just needs some power washing and cutting before it turns in to a headboard. Next I want a fruit crate bookcase… and possibly an antique milk jug to use as a floor vase!  Hew….
All of this bringing me full circle back to my parent’s house in the country! Obviously my mom doesn’t totally understand my new sense of decorating style but that’s just cause she’s been there and done that!
