If life wasn't crazy enough with working on our home, Ryan and I getting used to living together after having opposite schedules, trying to figure out my place in the photography world, enjoying our adorable lil' nephews Evan, Forrest, and Levi plus Vivian, our adorable niece... Ryan and I also have a puppy or at least is the size of one, Jack, who is a Jack Russell mix! How fun and YES, and a little crazy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Ceremony Location

Ryan and I early this morning ran to GH, hopefully the location of the wedding and ceremony, to view Kirk Park.

Kirk Park is located about 8 or so miles south of GH. It is an Ottawa County park that offers woods, sand, and water! Can't get any better!

We parked right next to what would be our "rain backup". It is a decent sized picnic shelter that would offer a cover for the rain... its really an idea to keep Ryan from worrying about rain on our day!

Behind the shelter, which is only $80 to rent for the day, is a playground and the trail down to the beach! Most of the trail is paved but when you get to this overlook area you are

than in sand! But when we headed back to the parking lot after exploring the beach, we noticed that route offered more paved path than sand.

From the high point before the beach, you see a beautiful view with no signs of life. Even the pier in GH, looks miniture from this view.

This is looking north of the park.

Ryan was liking this side of the beach.... to the south of the park.

There is a sand dune (small) to walk down but when you get to the beach you see so plenty of room (right now). Even Ryan was seeing it... telling me where you could put chairs and what way the isle should face.

Just Beautiful! I can see some GREAT pictures here!
I also have some views from a look-out tower which could get a picture of the whole ceremony set up!

We were very lucky to have got to see the park on such a beautiful day! We only hope that weather goes in our favor! But we are in agreement... this would be an awesome beach to have our wedding ceremony at! Now we just have to cross our fingers that September 11, 2010, is still not booked at The Harbourfront Grand Hall in the Piano Factory!

  1. The beach is lovely! Are you going to get those cute white folding chairs?

  2. I'd love to have cute white folding chairs... but they are sort of pricy... I found wood natural folding chairs for like $1.60 a piece! We will see how the budget goes!

  3. The natural wood ones will still look good! Most people remember the reception/food/drinks and the dress, so splurge on those things!
