If life wasn't crazy enough with working on our home, Ryan and I getting used to living together after having opposite schedules, trying to figure out my place in the photography world, enjoying our adorable lil' nephews Evan, Forrest, and Levi plus Vivian, our adorable niece... Ryan and I also have a puppy or at least is the size of one, Jack, who is a Jack Russell mix! How fun and YES, and a little crazy, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

On the way home...

While shopping for Halloween candy, I noticed the Dollar General in Standale had $1.50 20-count white with green cord Christmas lights! PERFECT for wine bottle lights! Which is an amazing price, since this summer I paid $7.49 for the exact same thing! I noticed while at the reception room, that all there big windows does not have outlets below them. So instead... I was thinking they would be wonderful for decor for the tables... the bar, gift table, coffee table, picture table (in place of a slideshow), and seating chart table!

I have a few pictures of what they look like! A lot of people drill holes in the bottom and run the lights up inside, not needing to run a cord out the top like you'd have to do if you didn't drill a hole. Maybe that will be a project for Ryan, dad, or dad-in-law!

  1. I think these are great! I love the look of them...we even talked about them for ours.

If you can drill holes in the bottom I am sure they look even better!!! I will start saving some bottles for you (not like I drink or anything!)

ps - this is Keri :)

  2. Haha... you don't drink wine!?! WHATEVER! You are only having a wedding at the OLDEST winery in Michigan! When your up, we can look to the expense of making them! Did you see you can find the lights at the Dollar General for only $1.50! ITS AN AMAZING PRICE... for what they are for and do!
